MEET OUR 2025 JR. YOUTH OF THE YEAR PARTICIPANTS
To achieve the title of Junior Youth of the Year, youth must embody the values of leadership and service, academic excellence and healthy lifestyles. They also should exemplify the critical impact that Boys & Girls Club has on the lives of young people. This event is not just a competition; it is a transformative experience that allows them to share their personal journeys, goals, and the impact the Boys & Girls Club has had on their lives.
For many participants, this competition is an opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and develop essential skills for the future. One member shared:
"I want to prove to myself that I can do hard things. Speaking in front of a crowd is scary, but I know I can do it."
Another participant reflected on how BGCLC has shaped their growth:
"Boys & Girls Club has helped me become a better person. I want to give back and show others what’s possible when you work hard."
These testimonials highlight the true purpose of Jr. Youth of the Year: building confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose. During the competition, participants will present their speeches to a panel, who will evaluate them on speech delivery, leadership qualities, and commitment to service.
We are incredibly proud of each participant who has stepped up to share their voice and inspire others. Regardless of the competition outcome, every youth who takes part in Jr. Youth of the Year is already a winner!
